If you can work but you delay for the purpose of choosing best time for the particular time.
If you can nothing and wait for good time with out any complaint in heart. All reflects the level of patience.
The existence of hope is necessary for keeping patience. Hope will do only that person who will have strong belief on the decisions of ALLAH that these decisions are always beneficial for man.
There was a man who was punished to sit in water whole the night. That was season of winter. The man looked a fire on some distance and he passed whole the night by staring that fire with this hope, in the morning, he will get hot himself by that fire.
That fire he could see and same fire is in the hearts of every body but we are unable to see that fire of hope. When we will be able to see that fire with complete faith then we will achieve highest level of hope. Hope will create easiness in patience and will keep you humble and calm. Strong hope gives strong determination on the decisions made by man with patience. Jazak Allah Khair
